What “Drives” Me

After being a driving instructor for over 9 years, I felt the need to take a more personal approach to helping students become successful, safe and effective drivers. Over my time as an instructor, I have noticed that the driving experience became more about money, rather than focused on the individual driver to give them the necessary skills to be safe on the road. Driving is a life skill and if students don’t learn how to be a safe driver now, then they become a danger on the road for everyone else for the rest of their life.

Being a teacher has taught me that all students are at a different level and a cookie cutter lesson plan doesn’t work for each student. I first assess in the first lesson their steering techniques, braking and acceleration capabilities a long with their general knowledge of right of way concepts. From their I am able to instill confidence and challenge them according to their skill level.
